Mackinac Island

Since moving to Michigan, I have not yet made the rounds to the various tourist areas and activities (other than the shores of Lake Michigan, which I have managed to visit several times this summer!) Therefore, it is with the intent to distract and divert my attention that I have offered to take my grandmother the 4-5 hour drive to Mackinac Island, home of the The Grand Hotel" from "Somewhere in Time," at the tip point between the UP (Upper Penninsula) and "livable" Michigan.
It also happens to be the home of world-famous fudge.
